"No. The only time it ever crossed my mind was when I was driving in the other day and I saw how much the Powerball was, and I was like, 'Man. If I could just win that. I wouldn't have to work another day in my life', " he joked.

He continued, "No, man. Honestly, I've just been focused on trying to win football games man. I let that be a decision that I make with my family, friends, the Chiefs organization when the time comes."

Kelce, who announced his engagement to fiancée Taylor Swift in August and is amid his 13th year in the NFL, has been the subject of retirement rumors when the season wraps. His two-year, $34.25 million extension with the Chiefs, signed in 2024, will also come to an end.

The Chiefs tight end admitted that this season didn't go as planned, which left a "sour taste" in his mouth. Not only did the team fail to make the playoffs, but star quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a season-ending injury on Dec. 14.

Mahomes went down in the fourth quarter of the Chiefs-Chargers game in Week 15 and tore his ACL. He underwent successful surgery the next day.

The Chiefs fell 20-13 to the Broncos on Christmas Day. Chris Oladokun made his starting quarterback debut to fill in for Mahomes and Gardner Minshew, who tore his ACL exactly one week after Mahomes did.

The Chiefs have one more game left this season, when they face the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Jan. 4.
