Role Model opens up about meeting Jacob Elordi in Paris

He will sometimes pretend to be the actor as part of an ongoing schtick

If you didn’t already know, Role Model is Jacob Elordi. He’s also Sabrina Carpenter and Kris Jenner, depending on the day.

The star of PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive centerfold has an ongoing bit in which he introduces himself on stage as other celebrities, and it has been charming fans while on tour. He's even charmed Elordi himself.

Role Model (real name Tucker Pillsbury), 28, tells PEOPLE in this week’s Sexiest Man Alive issue that he recently met Elordi at a dinner in Paris, and the Frankenstein star was fully in on the joke.

“I happened to be seated across from him and I walked in and he was like, ‘My twin, my brother,’ and we talked and caught up,” he recalls. “He was very cool and he was like, ‘The first thing I ever saw about you is you signing autographs in Central Park as me.’”

Elordi, also 28, was referring to a 2024 TikTok video that showed Pillsbury getting a portrait done by an artist in Central Park. As he’s sitting for the portrait, a woman smiles and waves at him, then asks for his signature.

Pillsbury signs Elordi’s name, and the woman asks what movie she would have seen him in. “Euphoria," he responds, to which she says, “OK, exciting.”

The “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out” singer says Elordi was “very cool” with the identity theft.

“He seemed to love it. He invited me to go surfing,” Pillsbury says. “No [I don’t surf]. But I told him I did. I will take lessons. I will become a surfer to go do that with him.”

Role Model's ongoing schtick has taken off among his fans, who often call him Jacob or Sabrina on social media. The star says he appreciates his fans’ devotion to him on the internet, and praises the sense of community that comes with being a Role Model fan.

“As the crowds grew, it gave me confidence and then there was a relationship with the crowds that was established and I could just fully be myself and make a fool out of myself and we would mutually do that,” he says. “So as the crowds grew and they got to know me, I think it just gave me confidence to do whatever it is that I’m doing up there. And they also get to talk to each other and they make friends and it just feels like a big group of friends in a room, which is cool.”

The musician is currently on tour in Europe supporting his most recent album Kansas Anymore, for which he released the deluxe version in February.
