Noah Wyle, who recently won an Emmy Award for his performance in the hit medical drama The Pitt, took a moment out of his busy schedule to pay tribute to his only son, Owen, on his 23rd birthday.
On Nov. 9, Wyle took to Instagram to share a rare throwback photo of himself with his son. In the snap, Wyle and a young Owen smiled at the camera as they enjoyed what looked to be a fun vacation, with historical ruins visible behind them.
Wyle also wrote a meaningful message about his love for Owen and their bond as father and son, starting by saying, "Happy Birthday to the best man I know."
"Thank you, Owen, for [bringing] so much joy, meaning, and purpose to my life. I love you infinitely Xo," he concluded.

Sara, Wyle's wife and Owen's stepmother, commented, "Happy Birthday @owenwyle we love you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️," with Owen replying, "love you xo."
The comments were filled with birthday wishes from fans and friends of his father, with Ambar Martinez of The Pitt writing, "Happy birthday Owen! 🥳🥳," while another The Pitt co-star, Drew Powell, added, "Happy Birthday @owenwyle!"
Beth Riesgraf, who starred with Wyle in Leverage: Redemption, also commented, saying, "🥹Happy Birthday @owenwyle 🥳," while Chicago Med actor Steven Weber wrote, "Happy birthday, kid!!!!"

Fans shared kind comments for Wyle and Owen as well, such as one who wrote, "You are such a good dad! What a beautiful family!"
"Happy birthday Owen🎊🎉🎊. Wishing your family much happiness. You are a wonderful father," said another, while a third replied, "this is beautiful, happy birthday!"
Owen is Wyle's firstborn, whom he welcomed with his ex-wife, Tracy Warbin. The former couple also had a daughter named Auden a few years later. Wyle and Warbin got divorced in 2010, with the actor going on to marry his current wife, Sara, in 2014. Sara and Wyle welcomed a daughter named Frances in 2015.
