Michael Strahan had quite the scare on Fox's NFL Sunday.
The former footballer shrank away in horror, as he was ambushed from behind by a masked man during a broadcast, all as part of a pre-Halloween prank.
"What's wrong with you, man?" Strahan said in horror, as he backed away from the man, realized what was happening, and then broke into a laugh.
See the moment below:
Cohost Jay Glazer laughed too. "That's how you get someone hurt out here!"
Just before the scare, several members of the cast had been debating the strength of this season's teams. It was not expected that someone, let alone someone with their face covered in a *Scream*-esque white and wearing a robe, would run right up to Strahan.
Everyone had a laugh after that.
"Sorry Stray!" cohost Charissa Thompson wrote on a social media post of the moment. "Thanks for being a good sport."**

Indeed. Strahan didn't appear to have any hard feelings, even sharing the footage to his own feed.
He has shown some interest in Halloween before, The *Good Morning America* cohost revealed in a 2024 video that he once dressed as a giant tooth, pointing the signature gap in his teeth. "Obviously," he said.
Another year he was Count Gap-ula: "I was like Dracula, but I had a gap."

He also regularly dresses up on his morning show, which is known for going all out. He's been Mr. T, a member of the Bee Gees, and more.
When Strahan and Kelly Ripa cohosted *Live! With Kelly and Michael*, between 2012 and 2016, he dressed up as one of the *Magic Mike* dancers, Cookie from *Empire*, a member of the *Downton Abbey* cast, a dancer in Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" video, and more.

While he likes the idea of the spooky season, Strahan has said that what he's actually afraid of is going on *Dancing With the Stars*.
"This is the thing, and this is what scared me," Strahan said in May on *GMA*, while speaking with guest Alfonso Ribeiro, who happens to cohost the reality competition. "Every professional football player and athlete who's been on the show said it's the hardest thing they'd ever done. If it was harder than football was for me, I cannot fathom it at this point in my life."
See Strahan on *Fox NFL Sunday* at 12 p.m. ET.**
