Lukas Gage received a tasty Christmas present from Pamela Anderson after they portrayed a mother-son duo in a new movie.
The actor, 30, told Variety at the Directors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday, Feb. 7, that Anderson, 58, is "an icon, the kindest, the most generous, amazing person,” as he spoke about working with her on their film Rosebrush Pruning.
The movie, set to make its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in Germany on Feb. 14, follows three American siblings in Spain reckoning with their mother's mysterious death, per the festival's website.
“She’s had such an amazing career, but she’s just such a good person. She stayed in character the whole time giving me gifts as my mom," Gage said of Anderson. "They weren’t part of the script. Just writing me notes and getting me little presents.”
"She just sent me pickles for Christmas,” Gage added, noting the Naked Gun star's own brand of pickles with Flamingo Estate.

Gage and Anderson star with Elle Fanning, Callum Turner, Riley Keough, Jamie Bell, Tracy Letts and Elena Anaya in the new movie.
Gage referred to the rest of the cast as "way hotter than me" while speaking with Variety and said Anderson "was an icon and a role model to many people in Southern California," given her role on the TV series Baywatch. "Everyone wanted to be her," Gage, who grew up in Southern California, added.
A synopsis for Rosebush Pruning teases that the siblings at the heart of the movie, "Jack, Ed, Anna and Robert, wallow in isolation and their inherited fortune, eschewing the demands of their blind father, and seeking love and validation through each other and their latest designer clothes."

"When Jack, the eldest brother and linchpin of this family, announces that he is moving in with his girlfriend Martha, blood ties are severed and Ed is forced to uncover the truth surrounding their mother’s death," the synopsis adds. "Generational lies begin to unravel, and the fabric of this family slowly begins to disintegrate."
Gage most recently appeared in People We Meet on Vacation. Anderson costarred with Liam Neeson in last year's Naked Gun reboot. Rosebush Pruning does not yet have a release date for after its Berlin Film Festival premiere.
