Two of the worldâs most relatable stars joined forces for a relatable meal.
Jennifer Garner shared a new installment of her iconically casual social media cooking videos with guest Kylie Kelce. Rather than the usual âPretend Cooking Showâ setup, the pair united for âNaptime Cook Clubâ in the March 1 Instagram video.
The Last Thing He Told Me actress explained at the start of the video that Kelce was her âspecial guest for âNaptime Cook Clubâ today: a meal you can put together and have ready while your kid is down for a nap. You have so manyââ and the podcast host interrupted, âI need that. Yeah, they just keep multiplying.â
âDoes anyone nap?â Garner asked the mom of four.
Kelce replied, âWe still have one napper.â
âYour 2-year-old doesnât nap?â the mom of three asked in shock and Kelce explained matter-of-factly, âNo, sheâs busy. Sheâs got things to do!â
Garner exclaimed, âThatâs so mean!â
The 13 Going on 30 alum walked Kelce through a recipe that she described as âso basicâ but âtasty.â
âPlease, hold, America, while I deal with this nonsense,â the actress pleaded while opening up new bottles of condiments.

They start with a marinade (âbecause, delicious,â Garner explained) made of ÂŒ cup balsamic vinegar, ÂŒ cup worcestershire sauce, ÂŒ cup olive oil, 1 tablespoon dijon mustard, ÂŒ cup soy sauce and 1 clove of garlic. They stir up the ingredients and set some aside for a sauce.
âWhen you see Gwyneth [Paltrow] do it, itâs always like,â Garner said of fellow actress-slash-social media chef while demonstrating a rapid-fire dice.
âWell, thatâs my fear. I watch so many cooking shows, including yours, that I am afraid that someone will see me with a knife.â
Garner took out a massive cut of steak, joking, âNot for vegans today,â and placed it in a ziplock bag, which Kelce added the marinade to, too. They placed the meat to the side.

âIf youâre like, âI have my act together,â and itâs the morning and you want to marinate it,â Garner started but Kelce joked, âIâve never felt that in my whole life. But go on, hypothetically.â
Garner laughed and continued, âYou could make this happen, put it in the fridge and then later the meat will obviously have more depth of flavor, as Ina says.â
âI have one child who willâactually thatâs a lie because one canât talkâtwo children who will voluntarily eat something that is green.
âHey, thatâs a win. I didnât eat anything green until I was 20,â Garner joked.
The pair chopped up a salad while the steak cooked on the stove and Kelce explained how Garnerâs Once Upon a Farm kidsâ food company was useful in her own family.
âOur toughest eater was our oldest. The Once Upon a Farm pouches were great because they are not green color, they are beautiful colors,â Kelce said. âI tried to explain to her, âYou ate veggies. You used to.â And sheâs like, âNo, I didnât.ââ
Garner explained how she makes a simple balsamic and olive oil dressing but said, âWe could make a dressing, if you want?â but Kelce quickly denied the idea.
The person behind the camera piped in that it had only been 30 minutes of cooking. âThatâs nap time when youâre unlucky,â Kelce joked.
âIf your kid doesnât want carrot sticks they might like carrot ribbons,â Garner suggested.
âWait, is it accidentally perfect?!â Garner exclaimed while cutting the steak.
âI love the surprise and delight in your voice,â Kelce complimented and Garner responded, ââCause I donât sweat it. The broccoli didnât turn out like I wanted to show you but itâs gonna be fine. Donât let something get in the way of cooking for yourself and your family, if you want to.â
In the end, they served the steak, broccoli and salad with rice and sesame seeds that they roasted âfor fun.â
Garner also appeared on the Feb. 26 episode of Kelceâs podcast Not Gonna Lie.
