Ashley Park has said au revoir to filming Emily in Paris season 5!
The triple-threat performer, 34, caught up with PEOPLE about wrapping season 5 of the hit Netflix series at the opening of her Korean folklore-inspired installation with Genesis House, in N.Y.C., on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
After filming in various European cities through August, production wrapped just in time for the hit Netflix show to return on Dec. 18.
"We ended filming in Venice, so just to be able to explore or be in a new environment completely was just really once in a lifetime," Park tells PEOPLE.
While the actress was unable to tease much about her character Mindy Chen's storyline, she did share she is looking forward to watching Mindy's journey with Emily in Paris' fans.
"It's definitely not goodbye because I don't think I've watched the full season yet," Parks says. "So I'm going to have to say hello to her again."

This season will see Lily Collins' titular Emily step into her new role as head of Agence Grateau’s satellite office in Rome, marking a new chapter for the lovelorn marketing exec and her Italian beau, Marcello Muratori (Eugenio Franceschini).
“This season is a tale of two cities. Rome and Paris,” creator Darren Star told Tudum in August 2025. “Straddling both, Emily takes love and life to the next level.”

Mindy's initial Roman holiday concludes in this new season, but viewers can expect the singer's travels to continue, as Park says she filmed in Venice, Rome and Paris.
Following her breakup with Nico (Paul Forman), Mindy seeks redemption in love and on the stage, having also lost her chance to compete at Eurovision. She's set to accept an offer to judge the singing competition show Chinese Superstar, and stays behind to focus on her new job opportunity after a video of her singing in Rome goes viral.
This new season of Emily in Paris is also an opportunity for Park to continue representing her Korean heritage in a story that isn't centered on Asian identity. She tells PEOPLE that the show is both a "global platform" and a way to "make changes" through accessibility."The fact that people all over the world associate an Asian face with warmth and friendship and music and laughter like that, that's what is so cool about that for me in representing in that way," Park says.
The Joy Ride actress also recently had the chance to connect with her Korean roots through art. Genesis House, a "modern oasis" with food and gathering spaces, approached Park about sharing her "personal relationship" with her heritage through sensory immersion.
"I really have not had that kind of opportunity, especially in the lens of storytelling too," Park tells PEOPLE.
The venue is also in Park's "old neighborhood" where she did Broadway shows.
"You can explore from whatever walk of life you're from. It's accessible to all of you," she adds. "Everyone is affected by colors and lights and the morals of folktales in the same way."

In addition to her showcase and Emily in Paris season 5, Park also recently finished filming for a new comedy film Basic, starring alongside Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester and Warfare's Taylor John Smith. The film is based on a 2020 short film of the same name, and follows Gloria (Park) and Nick (Smith) through a difficult breakup and a spiral over an ex-girlfriend.
