These two rock bands are celebrating the 20th anniversaries of these exciting projects.
On Monday, Alexisonfire announced via Instagram that they and Billy Talent are co-headlining two shows this upcoming summer to celebrate the 20th anniversaries of their respective albums: Crisis by Alexisonfire and Billy Talent's Billy Talent II.
The first show will take place in London's Ovo Arena Wembley with support from Touché Amoré on June 24, while the final show will be at the Bell Centre in Montreal on July 17, with Faze opening the concert. At both shows, the bands will be playing their respective albums front-to-back.
In addition, Alexisonfire announced that they partnered with the Plus1 organization, and a dollar from each ticket sale will support ASTTeQ, the EB Research Partnership and War Child Canada.

Alexisonfire released their third studio album, Crisis, on Aug. 22, 2006, and it was their first album that marked Jordan Hastings as their drummer, who replaced Jesse Ingelevics a year prior. The record was made at Metalworks and Silo Recording Studios in Ontario, with Julius Butty producing with the band. Crisis features 11 tracks, including the singles "Boiled Frogs", "This Could Be Anywhere In The World," "Rough Hands" and "Drunks, Lovers, Sinners and Saints," which were all put out before the full release of the album. In addition, there are two additional tracks that appear on the bonus USB materials. The album debuted at #1 on the Canadian Albums Chart, selling over 20,000 units in the first week.
The post-hardcore band was formed in Ontario in 2001. They gained popularity thanks to their self-titled debut album in 2002, which features their single "Pulmonary Archery." Since its formation, they have released five studio albums, with their most recent being Otherness in 2022. Its current members include Hastings, Chris Steele, George Pettit, Wade MacNeil and Dallas Green.

Meanwhile, Billy Talent is another Canadian rock band formed in Ontario, but in 1993. Consisting of Benjamin Kowalewicz, Ian D'Sa, Jonathan Gallant and Aaron Solowoniuk, Billy Talent has sold over one million albums in Canada alone and nearly three million internationally throughout their 30-year career.
The group put out their second studio album as Billy Talent (they originally formed as Pezz), Billy Talent II, in 2006, which follows their self-titled album, released in 2003. It also debuted at No. 1 on the Canadian Albums Chart, selling 48,000 copies in its first week, and reached No. 1 on the German albums chart. Compared to Billy Talent, their 2006 record is less angry and more mellow, with most of their songs dealing with real-life issues.
"We scaled the anger and language back a bit," Jonathan Gallant told the Ottawa Sun back in 2007. "Not because we had to, but because we’ve mellowed a lot since we made our first record, Billy Talent, in 2003. We’ve matured as men and as a band, enough to know that you can’t force anger."
Billy Talent II has 13 songs, which were all written by the band. It was recorded in various studios around Canada from Fall 2005 to 2006.
